From Global Goals to Everyday Practice

In addition to our focus on UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 6 and 13, which relates to our customer-oriented solutions, and external sustainability, we are also working to minimize our company's impact on the environment. Specifically, we focus on the following activities:

Renewable energy from wind power

Since 1 January 2021, we have sourced 100% of our electricity from renewable wind energy produced in Denmark. This transition supports the broader shift towards cleaner energy systems and helps ensure that our consumption actively contributes to the expansion of renewable energy production.

Solar Energy

Several years ago, we installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of our production facility. During peak summer periods, the system generates sufficient electricity to cover the energy needs of both our production and office facilities, enabling a high degree of energy self-sufficiency

FSC-certified paper for responsible printing

All our printed materials are produced on FSC-certified paper, ensuring responsible sourcing of wood and paper products. The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable forestry practices.

In FSC-certified forests, harvesting is carefully managed so that no more wood is taken than the forest can naturally regenerate. In addition, the certification helps protect biodiversity and wildlife, while also ensuring fair working conditions, proper training, and appropriate safety equipment for forestry workers.

Waste sorting and recycling practices

We implement structured waste sorting for both industrial and office environments to ensure responsible handling of materials. Industrial waste such as electronics, cardboard, and metal is collected and sent for recycling to support material reuse and circular resource flows.

In our office facilities, we also operate shared waste sorting stations with clearly separated bins, making it easy to sort everyday waste correctly and reduce overall environmental impact.

Eliminating single-use plastics

We avoid the use of disposable items by exclusively using reusable tableware in our daily operations. This includes washable dishes, cups, and cutlery, which helps reduce unnecessary consumption of single-use plastic products.

By prioritising reusable alternatives, we actively work to minimise waste and lower our environmental impact in everyday office activities.

Reducing food waste in our canteen

In our canteen, we actively work to minimise food waste by making use of surplus food from previous days whenever possible, instead of preparing entirely new dishes each day.

This approach helps us reduce unnecessary waste while promoting more responsible use of resources in our daily operations.

Work from home

Our employees have the opportunity to work from home several days each week. This flexible working setup helps reduce commuting, lowering travel-related environmental impact while supporting a more balanced and efficient way of working.

Energy-efficient lighting and automated electronics

We use automated systems to reduce unnecessary energy consumption in our offices. Computers and other electronic equipment are either powered down or set to energy-saving mode when employees leace the workplace.

In addition, our lighting systems are sensor-controlled, ensuring that lights are automatically switched off outside working hours and during periods of inactivity, helping us optimise energy use and reduce overall environmental impact.
