We are committed to United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals

At Insatech, sustainability is an integral part of how we operate. We are committed to supporting the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals by continuously improving the way we run our business and take responsibility for our impact - both internally and in collaboration with our partners and customers.

As part of this commitment, we systematically monitor and evaluate our sustainability efforts. Each year, we report key data to our parent company, Addtech, including areas such as transportation, energy consumption (electricity, gas, and oil), logistics, production activities, and diversity in leadership. This is done through a structured sustainability scorecard, which helps ensure transparency, track progress, and identify areas for ongoing improvement.

The collected data from all companies within the Addtech Group forms the basis of an annual sustainability report, providing a comprehensive overview of group-wide initiatives and results. To learn more about how we work with sustainability in practice, you can explore the sections below.

Focusing our sustainability efforts

To create a clear and measurable framework for our sustainability initiatives, we align our work with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals help us identify where we can contribute most meaningfully to global sustainable development.

Rather than spreading our efforts across all 17 goals, we have chosen to prioritise the areas where we can make the greatest impact. Based on our expertise and close collaboration with customers, we focus on two specific SDGs:

  • Goal 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
  • Goal 13 – Climate Action

By concentrating on these focus areas, we ensure that our initiatives are both relevant and impactful.

Turning sustainability into daily actions

Alongside our focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals 6 and 13 - primarily linked to our customer-facing solutions - we also prioritise reducing the environmental impact of our own operations. This means integrating sustainability into our day-to-day activities across the organisation.

In practice, we work with a range of initiatives aimed at lowering our footprint and promoting more responsible resource use:

  • Use of renewable energy, including 100% wind power
  • Implementation of on-site solar energy solutions
  • Responsible sourcing of printed materials, such as FSC-certified paper
  • Eliminating single-use plastics in everyday operations
  • Reducing food waste in our facilities
  • Supporting flexible and remote working where possible
  • Using energy-efficient lighting and automated systems
